General residential work

General residential construction projects in North Texas.

Tell us what needs attention. We will help clarify the goal, identify connected work, and decide whether TrueBuilt is the right fit.

What we can discuss

A scope built around this home and this project.

The right plan depends on the existing condition, access, materials, priorities, and how connected work should be handled. We start by understanding those details.

What to expect

When the project does not have a category

Plenty of real projects do not match a service page. A combination of repairs across the inside and outside of a house. Work in an outbuilding, shop, or rental. Finishing something a previous owner or contractor left incomplete. Preparing a property to sell or to rent. Adapting a space after a change in how the household uses it.

Those are ordinary requests, not edge cases. Describe the result you want rather than trying to name the trade, and we will help work out what the job actually consists of.

Turning a description into a scope

The most useful thing you can send is not construction vocabulary—it is specifics. What is happening now, what you want instead, the constraints we would not guess at, and any deadline that is real. Photos taken wide before close-up, so the setting is visible and not just the problem.

From there we work out what the job requires: which parts are ours, which need a different trade, what sequence they have to happen in, and where the unknowns are. Sometimes the most valuable output of that conversation is discovering the project is smaller than you feared, or that the order of operations matters more than you expected.

Property preparation and grouped work

Getting a house ready to sell, list, or rent is a common version of this. It is usually a long list of small items where the priority is finishing all of them before a date, and where knowing what to skip matters as much as knowing what to do.

That kind of work is best handled as one written scope with clear line items rather than a series of separate calls. It also groups efficiently, since most of the cost of small work is getting a person and materials to the address.

We will tell you when it is not us

Some requests need a specialist, a different licence, an engineer, or a scale of crew that is not the right fit. Structural modifications, significant electrical or plumbing changes, and regulated manufactured-home installation functions all belong to trades that carry the right qualifications.

Hearing that early is more useful than a quote that quietly excludes the important part. When we can, we will explain what the right next step is—even if that step is not us.

A clearer project

Plan the work before the work starts.

We make room for questions, surface tradeoffs, and document the agreed responsibilities so you can make a confident decision.

What if I am not sure which service to choose?

Choose General Residential Project on the estimate form and describe the result you want. We will sort out the category with you.

Will you tell me if the project is outside your scope?

Yes. A clear answer early is better for everyone, and we will explain the appropriate next step when we can.
