Licensing, honestly.Texas does not issue a statewide general contractor license, so no residential contractor in this state holds one. What does exist is city-level registration and separate state licensing for specific trades — electrical, plumbing, HVAC — and for regulated manufactured-home installation functions. Those are coordinated with appropriately qualified providers rather than advertised as in-house work.
